I know you hear a lot from me about Gremlins and AMC and whatnot, but this is just too sweet to pass up

it's a '72, with custom fiberglass widebody-style fenderflares
he's even snuck some nice thick meats under to fill them out
the rims are a little dated, but as a period-correct custom i think it's super sweet :D
the motor is a blueprinted and balanced 401, done up pretty nice
mmm... i love it :)

Savb18 first off chill out, if you took the time to look you would have noticed that im not new in fact ive been here longer then you, second i know that that car is not arsenics i have seen the pics of his car, i was saying that you guys shouldnt bash on gremlins saying they are ugly because arsenic owns one, and if you do think they are ugly keep it to yourself because im sure that arsenic doesnt want to hear negative comments about his car make. and you should also notice that i said "half" since i know you have done work to your teggy i respect the fact that you do own and do work on your car so u all should also respect arsenics taste in cars dont you think??

I don't really consider installing exhaust, headers, and an intake as 'enging work'. More as bolt on performance.

Let me just compare this to RC's a bit... makes more sense to me.

Ok you have your .15, .21 or whatever size engine. Yeha, you can swap the intake, header, coupler, tuned pipe, etc. but that really isn't considerd 'engine work'. Engine work would include replacing a busted piston and sleeve, rebuilding the block, or maybe shimming the head.

I'm not saying that SavB hasn't done engine work, I'm just making a point. I'm sure he's done some kind of tranny work or otherwise (cough replacing spark plugs cough). That guy has done some major work. Swapping, rebuilding, and balancing the engine. That's way more than just unscrew screw 1A from hole 2A. That's individually tuning each piston for optimal performance and making small adjustments to the throttle and intake. I'm sure the engine didn't run perfectly the first time it was assembled either. That takes skill, and I respect that. Lot more work than bolting on some exhaust.

And I also would like the car. Sure, it isn't something you've seen everyday, but that doesn't make it the ugliest piece of metal around. I personally think old civics, integras, and other early 90's/late80's sedans look like piles of junk. That's JMO.

I would actually love to drive the car. Most kids at the school (or in the USA for that matter) wouldn't know a Gremlin from a DeLorean. They assume since its old looking, its slow. I'd love to smoke them.

i dont even have an exhaust system so wtf is your point... i havent done much engine work but i have custom made a bunch of mounts from pieces of metal at an engine shop and put them on.... and for three hours a day all i do is work on engines, replacin valves valve springs adjusting valves, compressions tests, leak downs, bunched of PGM shatizzle.... then of course your typical oil change and what not, im also close to being smog certified, so be my guest try to talk shatizzle, but i gurantee im farhter along then 80% of this site

first off, 7 months doesn't make him new.

I've been over at digimods for over a year, but have about 90 posts. To them I'm a noobie i guess. But am I a noobie to this stuff? MrWilde wouldn't make me an admin if i was. So please dont refer to a newer guy as a noob cuz frankly it's irrelevant.

Don't disrespect people cuz they're new. It stupid. \

Car isn't really my taste but I don't like older cars in general... but yea RESPECT.

yay, i caused an uproar!

i knew some people wouldn't like it, and by some i mean all but a few, but ya
if you think about all the work that's gone into it; the body work, the paint, the motor, the suspension and running gear, etc etc, you can probably see how cool it is
even if it is ugly as sin
hell, even i know that ;)
