Just did a contest.. need second opinion

Ok... we have monthly contests over at www.honda-tech.com... and ive been a lurker here for a while.....

ok so i place like 10th in this thing.. and here are the top 10 chops.... <<<<<NOT IN ANY SPECIFIC ORDER>>>>

i would like you to tell me which one you would choose and why... i would also love for some critique on my chop anyways

and i will post more of my chops tomarrow bc im extremely tired right now.....

first, because it was the most realistic & not over done;
last, not the best quality, but the concept was good

this is what i dont get though.... is why would you pick the last one over mine... mine has many of the same things just a lot better... he just filled the headlights with black.. mine are black but i made them look like covers with shading and what not.... and his wheels are way blurry while mine are clear and crisp.. the front end.. whatever he added (lip, cut out grill) he just filled with black.... his stickers are messed up.. mostly the SCCA there is still white inbetween the letters... it has stock interior... i dont think racecars have stock interior....


i really dont see whats wrong with mine....(2nd to last)

i built that whole roll cage from scratch.. added the drivers seat.... freaking shaded everything to be almost perfect... modified the bumper.. added an almost flawless intercooler... etc etc etc.. list goes on... i just dont see what others have over mine...

EJ1 ... your looks good ... i only see one main thing wrong with yours .... the piping on the intercooler is way to small .. other than that i love the idea .... but for the best one i say the first one .. oh ya i have an EJ1 myself its a 94 tho!

EJ1 ... your looks good ... i only see one main thing wrong with yours .... the piping on the intercooler is way to small .. other than that i love the idea .... but for the best one i say the first one .. oh ya i have an EJ1 myself its a 94 tho!


yea i got **** for the IC piping..... i dunno it just makes me mad bc i put skill into my chops and everyone else wins with 20 min of chopping the car...

hey bro just cause someones chop doesnt look as good as yours in your eyes, doesnt mean they only spent 20 mins on it, for all we know they couldve spent more time than you did on yours, its just they dont have the level skills.

as for yours and the last onebeing the same, well, you both have the racer theme but imo yours looks like a strip car while the alst car looks like a track car, compeltely differnt looks to one another as theyre different type of race cars. now whereas yours prolly is smoother and cleaner than his, he portrayde a more appealing race car, even though its not as well executed as yours. it happens all you can do is go onto the next comp or battle an try something differnt without baggin anothers work, cause as i said before, your at prolly different levels than each other.

now after that long dribble i have to say that i vote for the canuck, simply cause i like the less is best, plus i feel its one of the best presented ones out of them.

The canuck and Jasz are really good. Jasz had a good concept and it looks real. The canuck is not overdone so it looks good.

im not trying to bag anyones work..... its just i dont really see how these are photoshop contests......it has nothing to do with skill really.... yes i think canucks was awesome... its an extremely clean chop..... but i cant really say that for the others.....

this is why i came to thsi board... only to find the same results...

photoshop contests are just a lil but of fun, i enter them and i honestly dont care whether i win or not, its just fun and its a good way of choosing a pic to do if you dont know what to chop as well.

i remember getting this months issue of fast fours, and i saw the chop comp they had, and i didnt agree with teh winner but hey, mustve appealed to someone :D

i say unless you pay money or summin to enter it, i wouldnt worry bout it cause its not like your losing anything :P, just as long as someone votes for ya tis the main thing right?

i like nexus's chop the best it just looks for pro.
they all look good tho.
and jdm i like ur chop aswell i wouldnt put it 10th tho its beter than that. not 2 keen on the odd wheels tho
