1:make a new doc and fill it black

2:then filter/render/lens flare and set it on 50-300mm zoom brightness 100%

3: and then go filter/other custom and set it out lyk this

4:then go filter/blur/motion blur and set it at 0 degrees and 156 pixels

5:and now go shift+ctrl+n to create a new layer, fill it black and then filter/render/clouds.the lower the opacity to around 25% and then erase it using a soft eraser off the black bits. then merge the layers and use the smudge tool to pull all the flare into points in the bottom corner depending on the way of the flame

6:now copy it into an image and position it near the exhaust(remember to make the layer style screen)you can also erase sections to make the flames look better and then ctrl+j the layer to make the more see-able

7:you can even colour it by playing round with the hue/saturation to look like the exhausts off 2fast 2 furious in the opening sequence

The flame is not shooting in the same direction that the tip is aimed.

it depends what kinda flame you want,, a flamethrower style, or just like an exhaust backfire..it looks like its blowin some big ball of light outta the *** of tha car brah

oh and by the way, all tha fast and furious shits suck and should never be copied or imitated in any way, on tha street or on your computer screen :) (dont try this at home)...its so fake...anyways that was off topic so ill stop now.

google exhaust flame or exhaust backfire and you'll see
