Interesting. No idea on the paint. How is the tone and sustain gonna be on that thing. Usually guitars with the "chopped" bodies don't sound the best. Take a look at some of the axes here for some inspiration.

Some of the Dime guitars aren't too expensive. You can pick up some of the guitars from the ML series for around $299. The new Razorbacks are going for just around $1100. When you get up into the Razorback Rebel - the price jumps to around $4,000. Here is a link with just about every variety. I have been looking at either picking up either the black Razorback or an Ibanez Jem.

Though I am a drummer, and don't know alot about guitars, the colour depends on the style of music surely, lik if you perofrmed reggae you would use yellow green and red but if you were a rocker blue, purple and black would be better

I would have to disagree. To me, when you truely play the guitar, the guitar is part of you. It needs to be the color you want it to be. You music styles can change depending on mood. Paint the guitar to be you.

i dont really think color has anything to do with music style..... i mean i have seen some hard rockin thrashers play hot pink guitars and i have seen some of the most hillbilly country music played on metal looking guitars.....this guitar i have the picture of has had 3 diff paints on it sincei h ave had it ... when i got the guitar it was black with white platter ..... then i painted it silver with electric blue fading on the flame licks and the paint that was on it this last time befor i stripped it was yellow/orange flip flop candy

Yes, I seem to have forgotten I had an account to PSC, i actually have yet to put up any of my chops...but I'm currently working on one (a honda accord tourer). So I figured I might as well start with this post. I actually have a guitar I've been meaning to repaint as well. Bought a crappy little B.C. Rich Warlock. Planning to upgrade the pickups to the active EMG Zakk Wylde set. I painted it once, black with a red powder in the clear, came out pretty mean looking. If I come up with any ideas I'll be glad to let ya know

I know what you mean, I certainly take pride in work.

With that being said, here is an airbrushed version of your guitar from me, to you.

This is 100% airbrushed by me, textures for woodgrain and brushed aluminum were created by me also. Enjoy this sir, it was an honor to make it for ya.
