alright as you can see the 2 cars have almost the same angle , in this case the rims are perfectly interchangeble but there are rims that could look flat even with this slight angle difference.
it's just trying if angles match and always watch out the rim dousn't look flat (without depth)
so let's start then

as you can see you select the eliptical marqee tool , i already positioned it how it should be this is achived by free transform (not transform selection !!!!) just right click and choose it :

when your statisfied with the selection you choose copy :

than past it into the other picture :

then pick transform :

the you wil be able to transform it the way you want :

you should get something like this :

now you think this look fine , but it can be even better ...........................

now reselect the rim by holding ctrl and clicking on the rimlayer :

first take the colorpicker (sorry forgot pic) and choose the original tyre thread grey so
that means the tyre grey color of the black car not from the imported/pasted wheel
then take the brush tool :

then brush it round but not on the rim , i little bit over the edge is no worry just like this :
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/3373/10ui5.jpg

then choose fade brush tool :
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/4520/11do1.jpg

now choose pin light (but this may vary from pic to pic so you can play with it to get the best match)
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/6316/12de5.jpg

now i used a little burn tool on the top of the tyre (burn tool is making shade/darker)
so you see the new wheel with side wall of the tyre and tyre thread of the original pic blended together :

this was done fairly quick and it's not perfect but this wheel change is pretty realistic , just
go and try this way maybe you wil like it :)

hope it's usefull grts richard
