I lifted a shot of Bill Elliott's '85 T-bird going under the checkers at Darlington for the stands and track. I added the driver figure shot to my Jimmy Pardue '64 Plymouth model and then did the speed blur after I got all the pieces together.

No the car shouldn't be more blurred when you take a picture of a moving object on purpose you follow it which make everything but it look blurred. For example have you ever looked at Car and Driver or Road and Track wen they tack picture of like the saleen S7 going 180mph + it dosn't looked blurred because they track it.

BTW very good chop i like how you use the models because it puts and extra bit of craftsmanship.

Thanks everyone and especially Nitro. You are 100% dead on about the blurring. I didn't spend six years as a real track photographer and not learn something. LOL After taking thousands of race pics I know how they're supposed to look but making the little ones look that way is gonna take some practice.

Looks great...I think the thing that might be throwing people is the slight angle of the car in relation to the track.

But, a great chop!

The car is not washed out and pixelated like the track it. also it is to contrasty...I would play areound with that a bit more, your almost there.

you have to make the car look like it fits in the picture and if you dont want to do that keep the car the way it is and change the background so its not that blurry....good job tho
