How to Report Spam

When you come a across any spam in the forum, new or old, please do the following:

1. Do not comment on/reply to/quote the spam!!
2. Click the Report Post icon and report it.

Myself or another admin/mod will delete all posts from that spammer when we next get in.

Replying to the spam will leave useless chat in the thread after we delete the spam. Quoting it means we have to delete your post. Reporting the post is perfect and all that is needed, just click the icon and report the buggers and we'll toast em.

I went to their site this morning and clicked on the"contact us" button, they have a live chat feature( the WOW power s*** site) And I asked them to stop spamming us. She said she will tell the manager when he gets in but, she was probably a robot too. I also contacted the "Nike" sit and told them to p**s off too. It probably wont do anything but hay, I did my bit.

Why can't I report spam or anything?... Im referring to the use of the report button when I click the report button it says I dont have privileges or something like that

Gimpchoppa: lol. That is classic. My guess is that it was a robot. It's a lost cause trying to communicate with spammers... it'd be fun to spam them back some how.

Dj Twinkles, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Hi there, yes I can chop... I'm not a pro though.

Regarding the permissions thing reporting a post... I don't see what could be causing that yet. Any member should be able to report the post. I'll keep looking.

Just enhanced the 'captcha' system for new registrations so there should be less spams now!!! Hopefully we can keep reporting any left in the forum from years past to rid of them.

We are getting a lot of PM spam lately after a relatively good few months spam free for the most part... I go in and delete the PMs when I find them so please just report the spam... and we'll get it. Kudos to our mods for their work!

I understand that we can report spam threads/posts but when we receive them via PM's, how do we report them?

Ps. Since registering, I've received about 5 spam messages and all seem to be about this "Super-Duper virus-scan" and the link included.

There were at least 5 last week that sent pms. I go in an delete them when they are done. The pm messages should have the report button as well.. if not, just delete the message which is clearly spam.
