I miss this car :( My mum had a 505 GTi estate in metallic light blue... It had a 2.0L engine that produced about 130hp, and it went like sh*t off a shovel when you booted it. Now it lives in South Africa somewhere...
Anyhoo... Had to do a rat car kuz I love them :D And... I think true rat cars are the ones that are properly left to rust and have cheap parts on them... Not all these wannabes that use paint stripper and salty water to speed up the process and have expensive rims and shiny paint on their brand new Golf...

Mods:
Lowered
Chopped Roof

This looks great. I love ratrods too. There's something about em and I don't really know what it is, which makes em so mean and powerfull at the same time.
About the chop: it turned out great, but maybe some more rust would make it better, or maybe all rust hood.

Thanks... I was trying to keep the rust looking natural... Y'know, thinking about all the spots a car would usually start to rust first.

I know what you mean, I'm just saying it would have more rat style to it with rusted hood.

Hmm... probably... Or maybe I should make it a V8 and stick a blower out the bonnet :p
