Just wondering if people would be in for doing this again. It was official when I started, then it kinda stopped, then it started and stopped again....
I probably wouldn't participate since I hardly do chops anymore (they take so long and I am too busy). I would be willing to put up the base image and accept the entries and put up the polls though.
We could even make them bi-monthly or something too if that would work better.

i see there is lost user activity. we need more people in this forum. its hard to make a competition without some active users.

Thought we could maybe draw in more users with a competition.

I need a good competition. I've become too much of a damn critic rather than an actual chopper, I reckon my last chop was nearly a year ago now.

What's the verdict? Should I start one?

You know what... if some old timers like kenny, murcie, fattack and others are up for it I may have to take part in the battle aswell.

Alright, I will get something going and see where it takes us.

I'll take it that I'm "others"

I would participate when I can. I still check the forum from time to time and its usually dead:( If there was a comp up and running I'd jump on it. I used to love the battles, its challenging.

So what is the base for September Kenny?

I agree with mglavina, if we can get some of us older lot in id be more than up for doing this. id love to see the amount of talent it would produce :)

I'd almost certainly want in on this unless the base was too unusual.

Or maybe any base but with a goal of reaching a final outcome like 'army car' or monster truck.

I will post up another competition if you want, but I don't have time to put something in it myself. I'm back in school, and still working.

I think you may have been in more comps than me...what rules would you like?

One base.

None of this everyone goes out and finds different cars and does different mods with different limitations and sh1t. How is it a battle if everyone is chopping something different? Different limitations for different bases, and some are easier and harder (think about bases with studio back drops, night/day photos, lighting, etc.). Plus, you don't want someone to pull out a chop they've been perfecting for months and use it in the comp.

Everyone should chop the same base, so everyones chop battles against the other to see who did the best job out of the same car.

No posting in WIP or Auto Chops until the battle is done. Why should you finish a chop, post it, find out what can be bettere, then go back and change it then post it in the battle? And lastly why would you show others what you have been working on?

We decide amongst ourselves for a theme, but it's NOT required, at all. I've done themed battles (VIP, drift, euro, etc.) but we don't have to.

^^
So we don't have to use those rules but if we went along those lines I'd probably participate.
