Should You Post Entries Up Before Contest Is Over?

I am done with my entry and I have had people tell me it's my best photoshop by far, and I am anxious to share it on the boards... but it is still a live contest and I am scared of people stealing parts, decals, backgrounds, color schemes and ideas in general...

So do you think it's a good idea to post up now? or should I wait til the contest entries are turned in and then let it loose? And does the "film" really deter thieves?

The poll is for contest chops in general, not just mine, but I am gonna go by the results for my entry... thanx!

I personally wouldn't do it just for the fact that I don't want to see every chop before the contest is even over. I like the thrill of waiting to see what everyone has completed in the month. I don't want to have seen every chop by the time they are all posted. Kinda takes away from the build up. ;)

What Mr. Wlide said is right -- however if u think that your chop is worthy of comments or criticism then go and show off what you have, new ideas are brought about all the time and improvement can always be made.

I vote no, not because of stealing junk(ideas) but because of what MRWILDE says. I'd rather be surprised by what people have done than to watch it go through the process. I don't wanna see how each and every part has been done I want to see the final product and wonder how things were done.

I'm guessing this was about your SRPT right? If so, my same reaction applies. Even though that was an awesome chop I think it kinda took away from the voting process in the battle poll. I had already seen the chop basically done, then I saw it again...I already knew I liked it so it was hard to look at the other entries without knowing that I already liked yours. Know what I mean?

I'd rather no one posted any contest entries at all for any contests, until the contest ends...

Who cares, if they wanna post there pics, and risk people stealing there ideas, its up to them...if wanna post it then post it, and if u don't then don't, gezz how hard is that

I've seen it and it defeinnetly is one of your best!!I personally think it doesnt matter thieves are gonna take it anyway,but remember someone who steals from your stuff isnt that good anyway and they would look like bigger *******s if they did it will always come out looking crap. ;)

thanx dude... i took it down there, and I will keep it under wraps until the contest is over, and then I will reveal cuz i'm sure everyone is so anxious to see! (heavy sarcasm! :lol:) I never thought about the 'surprise factor' but that is tru tru!

i didnt vote but i would say no because even with the protective film youre allowing everyone to see your ideas and a lot of the time in a contest your ideas are the majority of the judging. as much as i want to see it, id rather wait

if the stealing is obvious just chec the post times and see who is doing it and give the other person credit (the orig person)
