what i usually do is desaturate the whole car... then add on the bodykit and either match
the bodykit to the car with brightness and contrast .. orr the car to the bodykit ..
usually it turns out pretty good

there might be easyer and faster ways .. but thats just the way i do it

My method of doing it .. turned out ok ..

yep, matching kits can be a bit of a pain sometimes... depends on the image, but this is what i do.

- desaturate the cars paint
- desaturate the kit
- Then go to Image>adjustments>levels
- mess around with the sliders until it matches.

Using levels has a bit more flexibility and control than using brightness and contrast IMO.
