[Corvette Z06] Tooned *update*

Alright, I started this project back in November with the intention of challenging Tony Riley to a battle (so please comment Tony, your critique is the most meaningful when it comes to toons)... anyways, Martin wanted to get in on the battle, but I was nowhere near done by the time the deadline came... so here it is, 27+ hours of work, I don't see any flaws, but of course, I wouldnt after looking at it for so long, so let me know what you think...

WOW!! That is stunning. This is one of the first toons I have seen with reflections in it with such detail. Are the headlamps brushed as well?

Mike Minnillo 01-11-2007 06:38 PM

damn, carty. that came a long way from the WIP i saw a month ago. looks awesome, but i do see a few rough lines here and there (along the top of the trunk, around rear tire.) and like wako asked, did you toon the headlights also, or are those from the orig?

Carty 01-11-2007 06:43 PM

the entire picture is tooned, nothing is original

Carty 01-11-2007 08:00 PM

Fix the front and rear tire, way too light. The front bumper has a flat black spot as well, lastly the front air inlet under the hood is way too light as well.

Great job otherwise...

Carty 01-11-2007 08:31 PM

alright, I saved it with the outlines, so if you think parts were jagged, look again

Mike Minnillo 01-11-2007 09:05 PM

looks better now. the shape of the rear wheel just looks funny, though.

erric1234 01-12-2007 02:37 AM

Carty 01-12-2007 05:20 AM

Moncef 01-12-2007 02:40 PM

well, you know what i said on aim...

veryy nice & well done...those reflections and headlights are what sets it off i think...

MartinPliksh 01-12-2007 05:22 PM

looks great carty
only problem I see is the ground reflection is wrong, it should be going straight down (in perspective)

apart from that its great

PSDavinci 01-12-2007 06:17 PM

Thats freakin incredible!
But if you set out to create a toon I would have to say you failed.
Youve created a photograph.

Carty 01-12-2007 09:33 PM

haha, I guess thats good?? ^^ I wasn't going for a traditional reflection tho, just something to accent the car

erric1234 01-12-2007 09:42 PM

hahah you failed cuz you did so good
