seriously though this is driving me nuts, ie is a terrible peice of software that should never be used again or force website designers to code for :mad:

I have been using Firefox for years now, I am a big fan of FF over IE. I try to avoid IE whenever possible.

I second this switch to moving to FireFox...

i use ff and mainly opera because it doesnt crash on me as often as ff does :(

I use FF. Much better than IE, and IE 7 looks like crap too if you ask me.

Power to FF :D, Love Firefox used to use IE it sucked, so I made the switch and never looked back :D

Good job xlax... Now everyone will use FF and FF will be come IE because of it.

well im a mac bod and thankfully i have not IE but i also odnt have firefox! im running safari wich is pretty easy to use!

do you still advise a switch?

I use IE7.. does that make me dangerous :D I dunno.. it works fine for me and I'm not that much of a nerd that I care what I use..

since i got FF, i got rid of IE altogether. this is one of not many windows PCs youll find with no trace of IE. :D

Yes you're part of the dark side...forcing me to code and recode my websites to make them work in ie when they view perfectly fine in all the other browsers :(

And I doubt FF will ever become like ie because they understand web standards.

I ment that it won't be as secure because everyone has it... that's why it will be come IE.

Well if you think about it, more hackers, bots, and spyware are targeting IE than FF or any other system. Microsoft can be compared to chain mail (old time armor), shoot it with an arrow and it won't hurt it, shoot it with a gun and it's F*ed.

yeah every knows ff isnt perfect but heck its a lot more practical to make websites optimized for it and all browsers but ie.
