why by individual polygons? its a lot easier to just select the ones that will have the same material and then apply it. find out how to make a nice plastic material and then one for the screen. also you need to smooth it out some

on a side note i recently dl'd the 30 day trial of max and im in love with it. Sux i only have 10 days left <_< :( im definatley saving up to buy and academic version of it or a used older one. its just amazing what you can do. so far i've been using a tut to help model a fiat500 its comin a long so far, doubt i'll finish by thee time the trail ends tho heres a pic of what i got

specs of it:
modeled using editable mesh with MeshSmooth and 3 render iterations.
material of car is a Raytrace using falloff maps for diffuse colors and reflections
rendered using default scanline renderer
render time 15 sec.
