I think it looks pretty damn good!
Very good! Keep it up!!
the toon is very nice ... but yeah in real neons are turds but super cheap so what can you expect
Hey not bad for a toon at all, how did u manage doing the mesh on there.
::off topic:: also how can you call a neon a piece of crap, my wife owns one, and it has lasted a good time for us, 5 years old and 97,000 miles on there. and they aint cheap 15 grand for a 2001, and u can find cheaper cars then that brand new. kevin |
 $15,000 for an 01 neon ???.... maybe i need to take a load of neons to where ever it is you are then i could make a killing ...
Here where I live you can get a neon fo $700. You probably got ripped off by a salesmen that looks like this:

now thats funny right there i dont care who you are
... i have a neon too :) looks good! [mine is a 98 intense-blue that i found on ebay for 300$ in near perfect condition -- only missing the ashtray, i have since added an SRT-4 interior]
IN 2001 the neon was around 15k, as were the 03-05 neons in the corresponding years. |
SRT-4 FTW!!
oh and yea man your toon is real clean |
hey; i realised what you forgot -- the b-pillar [its a bit thicker, but its black, so u cant tell.. ummm.. HERE is another refference for a 4door]
In 2001 a new neon went for $15,000 USD an SRT4 which was introduced in 2003 went for an approximate amount of $18,000- $20,000 depending on options, we bought the neon used with 78,000 miles 10 year/ 100,000 mile warranty for $5,500 and so far it has over $3,000 in custom parts.

i was refering to the price of a neon now they have no resale value in relation to thier new price.... just keep an eye on that timing belt ;)
Well yeah, i new the resale value is bad, so is the company itself, wont stop calling my wife everytime she is late with her payment by one day, they call and want thier money, until i told them we were trading it in for a different vehicle, they left us alone.
Timing belt hasnt gone on the car yet, the tranny did, but since it was under warranty we got it fixed by paying a $100 deductable. We think who ever owned the car before us didnt take care of the car very well. kevin |
just typical neon from my experiance ... speaking from being in the used car business for many many years ... it was almost a given to change timing belts when one came in and yes did alot of tranys also....
Just like to say thanks for turning this into a discussion about who has the cheaper neon...but thanx to those who actually comented on the toon
no problem :) i still think the shading was a bit darker; but it looks good. I was wondering; may i toon it?
I apologize wingnutt for jacking ur thread, and i to have commented on it, thats why i was wondering how u did the mesh, cuz for some odd reason i have trouble making my mesh look that good.
kevin |
the mesh is like that on the original
I did use the mesh from the original , just changed the color a little and opacity with white behind it.
