chevy silverado toon
did a toon of a guy's truck on another site. he decided he'd give tooning a shot too and actually came out with a nice finished toon. so, i kinda lost interest since he didnt really need my help any more. i still put it all together, but i left out some highlights and shading (like on the rims) and i just put a "smart blur" on the chrome and head lights. but i still like the outcome.

Suz, i pretty much do what people request from me on the truck sites that i go to. so i prolly wont be anything old school considering that i have lined up to do like 4 nbs trucks. erric, i cut out the body and the wheels separate. distort the body to how i want it. then distort the wheels to match. from there its the usual (lines, paint, shading, highlights, and sometimes render). this is usually how the vehicle looks before i start tooning.... http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...imple-toon.jpg edit: o yea, since i have to do alot of these and i dont have a lot of time to spend on each single one, i usually just apply a smart blur to most chrome areas. gives it a "toony" look without having to remake the reflections, shine, etc. |
awesome work
