my sample sheet.. open to critique

just dont steal my work :)

suzq044 09-23-2005 02:32 AM

just a side note-- thats personal info @ the bottom, so i censored it for obvious reasons. the design down the side matches the design of my resume.. just so u know. :) but critique is appreciated.

KuttingEdge 10-07-2005 07:11 AM

nice work Suz. that hot rod **** is dope. would consider gettin me one if it had a little more design work to it like a rod tshirt usually does. background graphics etc.

KuttingEdge 10-07-2005 07:17 AM

i just noticed u have a pic of a school bus we chopped bout 3 years ago on ur cardomain site under odd mods. you have the unfinished version thou. we posted that to show it off years back then finally finished and cleaned it up last year.

crazy how much that things been around. ive had people call me telling me to take it off my site cause its their real vehicle....lol. it was on the cover of a mag called trucker, they thought it was real. someone sent in the chop claiming it to be their actual ride. its been in a few mags like that. it was also used on kickasspoker.com as the poker bus for awhile.

here's the finished version. just cleaned up the edges and finished the trim on the hood and a lil on the grill

suzq044 10-07-2005 02:52 PM

lol.. man.. now that i look at it.. you can TELL its a chop.. [i knew it was a chop in the first place, until someone told me otherwise.. then i put it in the odd-mods section] lol

btw- i do have it on a t-shirt.. if u wanna buy it ;) Click

KuttingEdge 10-07-2005 06:15 PM

yea i seen the tshirt but thought it was too plain for my taste with just the hotrod on it. it needs more to it, some background flames, text ect. lemme know if you ever do that. we design tshirts all the time for car shows, shirt companies, etc.

suzq044 10-07-2005 06:34 PM

cool.. mines just a lil thing i get 5$ per sale.. lol it kinda sucks cause i've only had 1 sale.. lol

KuttingEdge 10-07-2005 06:44 PM

have you checked out cafepress.com? they do shirts one at a time also. their charge per shirt is 13.99 and you can mark it up to whatever. i think you would sell more if you had more to them. my experience with tshirt design is the cooler it looks them more people want it. Are you designing for a living now? If not you should holler at me. We are currently interviewing designers.

its www.ampit.com, not ampir or armpit. lol; the design i did was for fun.. cause the current design sucks... as you'll see. i just simply did a redesign for class.

Nice work. Is Flash MX pro like Illustrator?

suzq044 02-11-2006 02:34 PM

not really, its designed more for web than illustration... like.. for example go to www.2advanced.com .. thier site is full flash [high-speed net recomended though].. here's an update of my sheet:

that site looks incredible. that woulda taken some time!

misterphotoshop 02-15-2006 07:15 PM

2advanced is a great company with an awesome portfolio to boot; too bad they dont know anything about web standards. Nice work there suz, good joby ;)

DYNABLASTER 03-01-2006 11:40 PM

good looking, but I can't see that hot rod from the eclipse!

suzq044 03-05-2006 10:48 PM

2advanced knows a lot about web-standards; they say themselves, they dont get thier work from the website; they get it from word of mouth.
