Maybe add some scratches bro, that thing is LOOOOWWWW! Just kidding, Imo, the rear bar is too square and boxy for this car. Are you going for toon style or something realistic? Reason I ask is 'cause the rims look great for toon style, but not so realistic.
Overall its looking much meaner, keep going. |
yeah ive seen some racecars where the wheel arches follow the around the wheels until about 1-2 inches off the ground so im goin for that sorta idea
yer im looking at it now and the rear bar sticks out a bit too far and ill round it up a bit to suit the rest of the car im tryn to go for a realistic style , with the wheels i just made them like a shadow colour and deep dished them , what do u rekon i could do to make them more realistic now that i realy look at it , it probly looks realy toony atm cos there isnt any highlights or shadows on the kit , + i did a real quick job on the shadows(that doesnt help!) |
I think you need to add some highlites and shadows to the wheels, I think thats what they're needing too.
|
Yeah BT, this is nice but like you said it needs some shading especially on the lower edges of the kit.
Also look at the original wheels and place some highlites on the wheels accordingly. Doesnt lack much bro. |
why is the red on my update darker than my first edit?
|
Yeah thats better BT.
I think the outer bead on the rim is right but its too bright, may want to lower the opacity a bit. You need some reflection on the bottom lip of the rims also. This would look really cool with a nice canister exhaust sticking out from under that rear diffuser spewing some flame! :D I dont see any difference in the red BTW. If you feel daring, try cutting about a quarter inch of the right rear edge of the car from top to bottom and placing it on a new layer above the car. Then apply a motion blur adjusted in the direction the car is moving. Adjust the opacity so its barely visable. See what you think. |
thanks Dav & Gimp
i fixed the wheel bead brightness and added to the bottom now i put 2 cannons on , i was goin to put a little bit of red reflec on them but the diffuser kinda hides them , unless you think i should put a litttle on i tried flames but i couldnt realy come up with anything decent and i also found out why one car looked like it had a different shade of red to the other , because i have a 22" screen , and the angle i was looking at it , it just made it look like a different shade so yer haha no worries |
