flat paint
i need to make a picture of a jeep have a flat color on it. and i have no idea how to make it look flat. i have tried, and it always turns out glossy. the 2 main flat colors i need to make it are flat army green, and flat black. thanks for the help.

i would also like to know how to make a paint flat without over-saturating

simple yet hard at the same time. Re-brush it; that's what I did to my '66 when I photoshopped it. Just don't add the highlights and reflections; that's really the only difference between gloss & flat paint. It's got nothing to do with saturation, you need to brush over the reflections it has, and make it a smooth gradient of color, with subtle highlights, nothing spectacular or overly detailed.
Like I did with these two versions of our truck: http://fc.deviantart.com/fs19/i/2007...chopartist.jpg http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs21/i/20...chopartist.jpg |
