How to colorize your car really fast!

Hey guys this is my first Tutorial and it's dedicated to my friend lowR1D3Rx!
Hope you guys like it! It's a way to colorize your car in seconds without selecting the car which is taking ages!!!! Enjoy!

STEP 1

We are opening the picture we like to colorize...

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/4403/43661162.jpg

STEP 2:

Then we duplicate it..

http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/8809/41847032.jpg

STEP 3

After that we take the eyedropper tool as shown in the image..

http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/3921/63415285.jpg

STEP 4:

We are taking sample from the colour of the car! In this case is RED!!!!!!!!!

http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/6443/55726717.jpg

STEP 5:

Then for the selecting trick... We go SELECT / COLOR RANGE.. This trick will select where is a red color in the picture ( Not all pictures can colorize this way).

http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/8942/96928838.jpg

AND HERE IT IS THE CAR IS SELECTED!

http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/6470/15844049.jpg

STEP 6:

After the selection we are making a LAYER VIA COPY!

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/535/50045352.jpg

STEP 7:

We duplicate the copy 3-4 times so only the colour will show up... LIKE THIS.

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/7598/13995226.jpg

STEP 8:

After all that we MERGE THE LAYERS TO BECOME A SINGLE ONE

http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/5615/30062477.jpg

http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/9508/34792939.jpg

STEP 9:

Then we go to Hue/Saturation to colourize the car...

Take out the stars at the end of the IMG code
i.e [/IMGx ]

Nice tutorial, should work nicely on some cars:israel:

LPChopperz 12-15-2009 09:08 PM

Thanks guys..Glad it helped you..

@harrygillis: Yeah but sometimes we need to choose all the car that we want to color; without coloring other stuff (trees, buildings or what ever)

@dan_ep82: Why should i delete the stars mate? The images are working properly either way..
Shhhhh...i get it, i get it:D
