UH-60 Blackhawk (work project)

So here was my first work project. It was fairly short notice, so I only had a couple days to get it done. Those couple days measuring out to be about 10 hours or so of total work time. The project was to take the concept tank that was modeled in Solidoworks and put it on pictures of the actual aircraft making it look somewhat real. Since this is only a concept, we have no tank to show them...my suggestion was using these for the presentation giving them the next best thing.

I found some fairly decent base images of the aircraft to use and then was able to manipulate the 3d model in solid works to get a fairly accurate angle of the tank to draw. The screen shots out of solidworks showing the tank base are not the angles I used, but at least show you what I had to work with.

I do realize there are some mistakes, but considering the time frame...and comparing these to photoshopped images they had purchased before, I think they turned out pretty decent.

hope you like :)

Like i said elsewhere, very good render! Good design but you pulled off the necessary realism! Good work!

Very nice work, realism is definitely there.

Looks really nice..! Only thing that really bothers me is the hose when it's on the downward position. But yeah, with the short notice, it's really good work. Wish I could make a living out of things like that :D

Thanks guys. Not sure that I'll ever make a living out of it. Right now I'm making a living designing tanks just like this one. But it sure will be nice making some extra spending cash doing this. :D

From what I gather graphic design is rather hard to get into, but definitely not impossible for many people here.

Being the only one here at the company with any photoshop ability, I have an easy in...at least doing in house stuff. But the good news is, that gets it on my resume and from there who knows. :D

I've designed some stickers and stuff for places I've worked as well. Stuff like that has helped me get into college as well.
