noob, ish question
 

Hey ive been to this site many times for tuts and now decided to register. Hi everyone. well i have a question about all this modeling and rendering. I used to have this program Zmodeler its pretty good learning stuff but i hope to some day get 3ds max, anyway i wanted to know what you all do with those rims, cars, etc. whatever you make? i know people put those into games but what would an average person do with it? just for show off on sites or something. thanks.

just kidding...kinda. for the most part, the stuff on here that is photoshoped is for personal enjoyment or bragging rights. there have been a few people around here who have made it big with their work (for a good example, check out iacoski.com). if get good and want to pursue graphic design, your best stuff can be good to pad a portfolio. but 99% of the people are here to have their stuff critiqued and to have a good time.

Yeah i figured, just having fun with programs that cost over $3500 lol. nice more than my car. haha.
