I knew you were doing a CF car... the roof looks really fake, with the way it bends off the windshield, you would most likely only see the pattern right at the bend and then the rest of the roof would be really hard to see it
nice work so far |
i think the patern on the front of the car is a bit big or maybe thats just me
looks good so far :D lol atleast i now know why u needed all the CF patterns |
looks good so far, reflections need a little bit of colour hear and there to add realism
|
yepp i agree with the colour on the reflections comment.
that was the next step! but yeh just some simple stuff lowered, chopped a big section from the middle of the car to make it look sleeker. |
looks good.. dont know about the cf though.. mine is just a personal thing..it doesnt looks bad or anything..
|
no offence man but looks terrible! CF looks **** to be honest, neeeds a hell of alot of work!
|
in what respect does it look "terrible"? thats not much of a comment is it more of a statment.
i think some of you need to see some real cf cars http://i17.tinypic.com/637g8ep.jpg http://i17.tinypic.com/6air9m9.jpg http://www.max-save.org/images/731747afw.jpg http://i10.tinypic.com/5ylea84.jpg |

looks kewl
maybe a bit too dark, and lacks contrast or whatever. |
wtf. contrast. do you even know what contrast is?
"and lacks contrast or whatever." that is possibly the stupidest thing ive heard on here. its got totally black parts and totally white parts. there is no lack of contrast you fool |
****.
no need to be *****y, just stating something. not actual contrast you can get with brightness/contrast. just cant explain it. look at the donors i gave you fool and figure it out yourself |
well what sort of contrast then? i dont personally know of any other sort in my 6 years in photoshop???
im glad some ppl leave contructive comments lmao |
HAHA ace seems to have become an angry guy since the time i left :P
now im back so calm down ace...everythings gonna be alright HAHA i think the caar is too grey all in all... looks really fake like that cuz it needs colored reflections... the CF itself looks alright IMO... but to get one of those ugly boxes look good u have to be god i think... good luck at that haha and WAIT 4 MY COMEBACK PROJECT CHEERS |
sweet well wecome back imarc. where you been bro???
yehh i know it needs reflections. but i just get angry at ppl who say things like "it looks terrible" and "it needs contrast or whatever" ?????? what the hell |
i think i know what is wrong... if u look at teh mustang pic u posted u should notice that u only really see the cf pattern where the highlights or edges are so if u fade out (layermask) most of the pattern in the right areas + color reflections it should be cool
|
yepp im gonna agree with you too. cf does fade and almost dissapear the further away it gets.
i knew this would cause controversy because every1 has a slightly different vision of cf. |

thats pretty much what i was thinking of, but you have to realize im not english, so yea...
you may consider twirling/curving or whatever the pattern a bit tho. |
It's really a daunting thing to take on a CF car.
I've tried myself, and let me tell you...you won't achieve realistic carbon with a homeade pattern and desaturation/level/etc... Desaturation for one takes all the color away. No color reflections makes for a fake car. Many chops with a black color change are ruined by this very mistake. Secondly the CF pattern really has to bend and contort accurately with the car. The further away the pattern is from the camera, the "muddier" the pattern should look. And imo, your pattern overall should be smaller. |
