Moderators needed.

Hi all,

We have a lot existing members that are deserving and capable of becoming moderators... some active and some not so much but at least in an alumni capacity should be promoted.

We have a number of members that always report spam which is awesome.. and we have a lot of members that are caring, diplomatic and fair people who could help us moderate members/content/send warnings etc in proper ways and with a good message to help improve/maintain the community and easy going atmosphere here at PSC.

I have a list already started but will take all input...

Please either post here your nominations or thoughts.
Please contact me via PM if you'd rather do it that way.
Please nominate yourself via PM if you are interested.

Criteria is not fixed,,, but basically members with history here, good reputation, etc. Becoming a moderator doesn't hold any obligations or requirements... if your not active, your not active, things change, no problem.. but the main things is that we get a team of good mods together that when they are here they can can spam, keep things on track, have some authority (no power trips!), and collaborate together in the moderator private forum.

I also wouldn't mind finding someone that is experienced with websites for a few projects or running the contests etc. If you fit this desc. message me.

Dj Twinkles 08-09-2009 07:18 AM

will voting take place? and someone with website experience is good... After the mods are selected I think we should... If possible ... give the forum a redo... I think we should have monthly comps... and sort out the tutorial sections and maybe start the ranking thing... but thats just ideas...

mglavina 08-09-2009 10:19 AM

I agree with sorting out the tutorial section. There are a lot of broken links and many re-posts. Not to mention not all the tutorials there are really good, I think for some methods there are easier ways. I've only written one, but I could do more and fix up ones that have been done before and just need some touch ups.

Mondala 08-09-2009 10:37 AM

yes, I agree about the website stuff... the whole site needs to be reorganized.

For now. This thread is about Moderators/staff.
No site improvement or requests or desires or discussion in this thread please or it will get off topic.. need moderator names, advice, volunteers, nominations.

No, no voting. I just need names /feedback and then we'll grow the psc team for starters and see what needs to be done from there.

Cheers

Dj Twinkles 08-09-2009 10:41 AM

Yeah most links are dead and If we could just get the whole tutorial section clean cause most are from 2004 and the are 11 pages of most useless stuff... and we should get a mod that should control all tuts that are posted... Like on Carchops.com... they send the tuts to a mod so that he can have a look first and then he posts it himself this will help the posting of the same tut over-and over... Cause to be honest we really need to have some order around here...

Mondala 08-09-2009 10:46 AM

Sounds good man. Lets just keep the moderator discussion coming for now. Site stuff later.

Thanks

mglavina 08-09-2009 11:13 AM

I wonder where .:ace:. is now? I would nominate him for a mod. He was a good guy but I'm not sure where he is now. I remember he had a downloadable "PSC magazine". That was pretty cool...

WildmanProductions 08-09-2009 12:50 PM

wasn't ace a mod at one point?

fattack 08-09-2009 05:33 PM

well i have all ready put foward names of igor and wildman as moderators :), and (not because i'm power mad!) i wouldn't mind having an involvement i am active most days (as i have no life) if no-one else minds other let stones be thrown at me for the suggestion :D

Mike Minnillo 08-09-2009 06:05 PM

brent, i dont think he was ever bumped up to being a mod.

IgorDesign 08-09-2009 06:10 PM

I definatly don't want to be mod. It too much for me, and I don't have that much free time.

you're right for some reason I get him and GTR confused

kennykro 08-09-2009 07:07 PM

I've asked fattack, WildmanProductions, and Dj Twinkles if I could nominate them, and they all agreed. So I nominate, in no specific order, fattack, WildmanProductions, and Dj Twinkles.

chopperkidd44 08-10-2009 01:39 AM

Any room for a long time member? I think i deserve a fair shot since i've been here for ages ;)

cedjr007 08-10-2009 02:35 AM

I second chopperkidd44 and i nominate PSDavanci and second Wildman

chopperkidd44 08-10-2009 03:16 AM

I second PSDavinci as well

PSDavinci 08-10-2009 12:09 PM

Hey thanks for the support guys !
I have already shown interest in this and would be more than happy to do it.
I too think that guys like Wildman, Mglavina, GimpChoppa, Mike Minnillo, Chopperkidd44, Reckoner, Honda007, Fattack, SINiC and DJ Twinkles would make good Mods. They have been on-board for quite awhile, contributed plenty of chops and possess good PS skills, consistantly contribute to the Forum threads, and have displayed a considerable amount of professionalism as well as continued interest and dedication to this community.

GTR 08-10-2009 01:26 PM

i think Wildman, Mike, PSD would be best suited for the job :D

what happend to joemomma < i think thats right lol and carty?

Dj Twinkles 08-10-2009 03:02 PM

Hey GTR long time no see... Where you been mate?... I agree with you on this one... As much as I and the others would like to be mods I think we should leave it up to the vets like PSD, Wildman and Mike... They've got more experience that this thing....
