As for the colored version, to me it should only be the very initial stages of a final piece of artwork. Try adding textures and aggressive color blending to increase the realism. Also the bubbles or orbs could vastly be improved with just a little work. For example something like these below.
I urge you to keep going on this bro. With just a little more work you could really transform this into an awesome piece.
