Hmm, as a general rule of thumb we dont condone chopping someone elses chop.
However in DJ's defense it appears he is doing the brushwork and as Patel points out, for the most part using this chop as a guide. I find nothing wrong with that, its actually a good way to learn. I have even supported this practice and suggested many noobs do it to develop and strengthen their skills. All artists will eventually see something done and get inspired to try their hand at reproducing it in some form or fashion. The real issue up for debate here is the fact he definitely has shagged a few items directly (headlamps, intercooler, rims etc.) and basically pasted them. Again I think everyone cuts and pastes items on chops, in this case its more frowned upon since said items are not actually a picture and rather brushed or created items by the original artist. This you really shouldnt do OR, if and when you do, you make a point to reveal it in your initial post. ALWAYS give credit where credit is due and you wont end up embarrased when your buds rat you out !!
