What I said had nothing to do with American cars. It's just Dodge in General that makes shitty cars. Look at their base model neon, a 3 speed, now knowing that you were saying Dodge is anywhere near those makes of Germany or Japan? Someone's PMS'ing today.
The base model neon has a 5-speed manual. (And a 4-speed automatic which is optional). Dodge isn't near BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, etc. in most areas, no. But guess what, they're different. The Neon is a solid car for $14k, the 325i costs $30k.
But hey, let's look at a few dodges. What about the Neon. SRT4, and the base model, awesome bang for the buck. The Viper. Need I say more? It'll outrun just about anything this side of a Carrera GT. The Charger. Great sedan, awesome performance of the SRT8. (Can Germany/Japan match that for $39k? Didn't think so.)
