If I know what you are saying, it is supposed to look like that. When using the lasso tool, especially at an angle, it'll never be perfectly straight unless you are using the polygonal lasso, in which case even on the pixel level it'll be jagged.

So, if I've understood, there are several ways to solve it. Either use the polygonal lasso, which will give you good straight lines all the time, or simply use the quick mask to select what you want.

For quick mask, hit "Q", paint what you want selected with the paintbrush (it'll be an opaque red-orange color). Hit "Q" again when you have everything painted you want selected, and go to Layer>Select Inverse. That just takes a little longer, but is usually a lot more precise.
