Magazine time!! PASMAG.COM & PSC.COM assignment number one
All,
I have just finished speaking with Performance Auto and Sound magazine and they have given us our first assignment.
Choppers here is the list of things that need to be done to this Chevy Cobalt SS. The images are not as big as I wanted them to be, but this is why the mag has given me. Please use the attached PAS psd file that is their logo. You could now have a chance to be in a national tuner magazine.
Here is the message that was sent to me from Mike at pasmag.com
Jay-
Here is your first project. Attached are a couple images of Chevrolet Cobalt SS. Can you please make the following modifications to the images to the best of your ability?
- Aftermarket Wheels (see attached for wheels to use)
- Aftermarket exhaust system
- Suspension (drop the vehicle to eliminate wheel gap)
- Exterior mods: front and rear bumper, side skirts, carbon fibre hood and trunk, black housing for headlights, vented front fenders, carbon fibre GT wing.
- Front-mount intercooler
Let me know what you can do. We need this ASAP.
Thanks.
Mike
Remember to email the pictures to myself when done. Please try to get the most out of a short amount of time. Please get these to me asap. Please include your forum name when you email it to me. I want PSC and you to get credit in the magazine. promotions@photoshopchop.com
Please have your entries submitted to this thread or emailed to promotions@photoshopchop.com by Thrusday September 29th
Jay-
I actually thought I had a wheel in mind, but I can't really find it right now. Check out the attached pic and see if you could use it. I would like the wheel to be black-faced with a polished lip though.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks.
Mike

Me love you long time
|
Well, good to see this has finally come about but some problems I see...
-the image is very small to be doing chops on, but if they realize that ok
-it says 'see attached for wheels to use', I don't see any wheels
-are we supposed to do both pictures or choose one?
-that's a really long list to 'ASAP', do we have a deadline??

I did not see any wheels in the attached email that Mike sent me. I just gave you what he gave me. I believe you can do either picture. I will clarify about the wheels with Mike. Please try to go with what we have thus far. Let me give them something right now and ill push for more time and higher resolution images.

I had this thread password protected for certain members at first, but I opened it up due to deadlines.

Great work people. Ill send what I have on Thursday and let you know what happens. The images have to go to GM first to be approved. It may be a few days before I know what is happening.

Apparently our efforts are not what the magazine is looking for. This is the response I received from the mag with what we have so far.
Jay-
Thanks for hitting me back. The renderings look good, but we're looking for
something very clean. Remember, we are forwarding these to GM itself, so we
need to show them top-notch stuff.
I was re-thinking things and I definitely want to get rid of the PAS decal.
Can you let your team know that? I'm sure the rendering will look better
without it.
Thanks for all your support.
Mike
I have advised the magazine that we need extremely high resolution images to come up with a clean image. I am awaiting a response to see if we can get some better images to work with. I have also asked for a longer deadline. A few weeks to a month.

Alright guys we've got some more time to work on this. Couple of weeks if that is ok with you guys. I have changed the first post. Apparently the magazine does not want the PAS logo on the car now and would just like everything else to be done. I have changed the images on the first post to reflect a larger image. More time = a better image. Sorry about the confusion.
