Thumbs up 07 Camaro

You have prbably seen this one before, although not posted here. I took the original renderings and made this poster. I like the look of it, if Chevrolet builds it is another topic all in itself.

suze, I like the one you posted even more. Has more of a concept look rather then the retro.

It's not a bad design, but it hardly shows what designers have really learned
over the years. It seems alot of auto manufacturers have jumped on the
bandwagon and gone with this retro trend. Although I have no problem with
that, the issue is that they are relying on past design pretty heavily. These cars
really seem to have no real character of their own.

Other examples would be - The miura concept by lamborghini, The Ford GT, Dodge
Challenger, & the Ford Mustang.

jmo.

agreed. There seems to be no real effort put fourth in designing something very new by North American vendors. We have to look towards the Eastern counterparts for something original.

thats true.. i think in general, in the US we're in an idea-slump, from Hollywood [and the infinite book to movie or sequels, or game to movie]. Even gaming is getting pretty monogomous.. they all try to copy eachother until its all muted & boring.. We need new designers out there.. maybe a few amateurs, because sometimes people without the pieces of paper saying they know something [aka degree] will know more than the person WITH one.. i'm kinda bored of all the politics that goes into everything now

the US went from bam! to bland so now we're importing ideas.. literally.

"Necessity is the Mother of Invention" so maybe when the retro trend the public loves so much is over then we will get designers going to the cutting edge and creating a NEW STYLE

I like the first green design and the second one i like a little bit more but it just doesnt have the look thats says "this is a camaro, one of the best muscle cars" i was looking at my mates 1970 yesterday and IMO, i just wish a car maker would put the idea out there of reproducing a 1969-1970something, shell and see how it goes.

The real enthusiasts would snap them up. just my 2c

people are complaining friggin heaps that american car makers are runing out of ideas and they are just re-doin old cars blah blah blah. so i dont think releasing a 30 year old car again would help that situation
