Default Acura's new Supercar

So I haven't done anything (finished) for a long time so I thought I would do a lil something. I liked this car, but it wasn't quite complete. I didi some minor mods and then did a BG change to see if I could pull it off. All C+C are welcome. Here are the end results:

its prety nice but the reflections are soooo bad XD
they need to go around the shape of the car and not like on yours... the car would be a flat piece of metal on yours ...

Cheers

The link to the original isn't working just so you know. You put way to many reflections on that chop, it makes it look almost transparent. The lighting on the car could also use some work imo.

yeah, I wasnt as pleased with the outcome. I decided to leave the relection as the base paint was really flat. I thin I might change the color (which I like) and redo it. Thanks

its not that he put too many reflections on the car, they just arent warped to match the contours so the car looks see through

That's not enough of an explanation either.

Painted metal would mirror its surroundings...and these
so called reflections are opaque? They need to appear
vivid and bright, not pasty and dull. Car bodies act like
a kind of mirror. If you aren't conscious of this, then a
further study is needed to pull this trick off. Otherwise
it just wont work. I wouldn't advise copy pasting things
from the background anymore.

I like the chop.

The one with reflections looks really messed up.

Think about how the background would reflect on the car.

The sky reflects on the hood and any part that is pointing towards the sky.

The side of the car would be reflecting the ground and things that are level to the car at the same height.

You also need to make a small selection of the back ground and use it instead of such a huge chunk then warp it onto one part of the car. Then select another part for reflections and so on. The window is really dark so that will reflect a lot.

Just practice and try different things.

I started out lust like that but with time and practice you will get better trust me.

Cheers,

D.C.C.

Thanksfor the tip, I shortly reaslised that the hood was way off. The one thing I do not like about adding the rlections to the car is how dark it makes the chop over all. I nee dot find a nice medium, so I guess a little practice won't hurt. Thanks

Just as an example here is a quick chop I did in 1 hour to show how with practice you can get good at reflections.

Original has no reflections:

And the quick chop with reflections:

What do you think?

Cheers,
