2000 Passat Turbo
Got a turbo passat last year; and as usual, i want to mod it. This one started as what I want it to look like rebrushing and all. It just ended up as kind of,well, what it still looks like. In the dark. lol.
I just liked how it turned out - like one of those many "teaser" images the big car companies are so fond of recently.

Original Image - as I said, I was just going to rebrush it.
Version 1; I stopped here for a while because I liked the dark image. Almost looked photographic.
Final Version:

I could picture this being in an ad, it would be better with a tease of some nice rims too but I like it

Actually, I'm keeping the oem wheels, and painting them black when I lower it. For two reasons - 1, everybody does the dub or stance thing with VWs, and I"m not a fan of the look, and 2, I'm looking to stay as cheap as I can for now. As it is, I need to replace most of the front suspension. It's at almost 200,000 miles and it's due for an upgrade, since it has the chip & is pushing almost 20lbs of boost thru the stock turbo.
But yeah; the look I'm going for is subtlety (or sleeper, whichever). It's a look I enjoy.

This reminds me of an episode of top gear. They had a pic of a new car, and they thought that when they asked the photographer if the light was good, he said, "No, there still is some." or something along those lines.

As far as I can tell, yes it's the OEM turbo. I plan on upgrading later to a K04 when it dies.
I think the turbo is now starting to fail finally.. but I"m not doing crap until I get the suspension taken care of. And I have to save for that one.

The new (at the time) Subaru WRX STi I believe. It was either that or the Cayenne.
"I can just imagine the conversation between the producers and the photographer...
'Got any problems with the lighting?'
'Yes, there still is some.'"
