Torrents are illegal, because your not paying the company (in this case Adobe) the money to use their software which technically is stealing because your not paying for the service
Something like that anyways

ok guys, time for an old head to step in on this. it very specifically talks in the forum rules that youre not supposed to discuss ways of getting PS for free. while yes, adobe is a very large company, talking about how to rip them off is not allowed in these forums.
if you want free imaging software, check out a program called the gimp. its not quite PS, and the tutorials on here may not match up perfectly, but look at some of the chops by gimpchoppa, and youll see that you can do just as much with the gimp as you can with PS.

True, but those who are so bold or stupid enough to go on a public forum and announce it to the world may just be pressing their luck on the issue dont cha think? As SINiC and Mike points out, we dont condone this activity and certainly dont feel its in the best interest of this community to be discussing it.
C'mon fellas, try to maintain some semblance of professionalism and understand we do care very much about our reputation. It may also seem like we operate under the "anything goes" premise here but thats misleading. We like to have fun and thus run thnigs a bit more loose than most communities but if your not hip to the rules and regs you best bone up before stepping over the line. The mods are lurking and are not one bit shy about doling out some harsh discipline to make their presence known. By the time you feel the sting of the ban stick its too late.

Thanx Mike.
The latest version of gimp(still free) is quite competitive with photoshop. Most of the brushes, fonts, patterns and plug-ins for photoshop work on gimp. I have built up a pretty powerful version of gimp with all the add ons I have added. And as for tutorials, search gimp tutorials, there are heaps of them, just not car chopping tuts , but you will see Gimp is close enough that you can easily translate a photoshop tutorial.

My computer crashed so my local computer fixer person swapped the hard drives and magically Adobe Master Collection CS3 appeared.

Well actually I can think of plenty of programs that are more expensive than any Adobe product. 3D Studio Max (Autodesk program) STARTS at US$3500.

Those programs are pretty sweet, I've never had the opportunity to learn how to use them, but they have INCREDIBLE potential.

Oh yeah, I think Maya retails at about US$7500 or something like that. We've got that program on our Macs at school. Confusing, but considering Evolution Studios used it to create the insanely pretty landscapes and models in MotorStorm, hell yes that's got potential. From memory I think they even used that to do the CGI in The Matrix.
