Step 1: Start out with a regular picture. (I already cut mine out, but you don't really need to.

Step 2: Duplicate that image and place it under the first one.

Step 3: Go to edit>transform>flip vertically

Step 4: Line your image up, use transform and hold control and shift down while moving the middle marker on the right side of the image up. Do that until the 2 bodies of the car are equal.
Step 5: Give the reflection a kick by using a layer mask and then using a gradient, it'll make it look like it'd fading away. Now if your car is reflecting into the water then dont do that, just go to filter>distort>glass. Using these settings. Distortion 5, smoothness 7, texture frosted, scaling 100%.

If your reflecting onto a shiney surface than just set your layer to multiply and you should be good. enjoy.

as for strangesters car.... tilted reflections.... you need to match up the tire closest to you.... the reflected tire will be directly below the real tire, which means in your sig you would end up seeing the underside of the car

NOt too bad of a tut, but the way u told it, it will only look right with cars with all 4 wheels on the same line. What if the wheels are at different levels like most car pics are? You should add to it, or maybe I will once I am done building my site, how to use distort to "bend" the reflection so the relfection looks real on an angled pic.

well what multiply does, is makes the layer darker...so if you are multiplying on a black layer, the reflection will get dark and pick up whatever color is behind it...in your case, dark+darker=black

try overlay or soft light and it may appear better for your case
