Default Sponsor-ready GTR

This is something I am working on for a competition somewhere else. For those not familiar with Australian Touring Car Championship, It is made up of Ford vs Holden V8's and nothing else, There once was a time when the old skyline was involved but that was banned because it was just too good. Anyway the GTR is making its return, but only as a pace car The comp brief is to create a Race version of the GTR for the ATCC.

I have not added the sponsers all over it yet, but thought I would put it up here first so you guys can help me iron out the flaws. Thanx guys.

Original(been resized)

My GTR ready for race(been resized)

The original images are 4992 by 3328 pixels and are 8mp. So finding donors is near impossible and alot had to be brushed or brushed over.

wow looks clean.. almost flawless even... but ,maybe you intended it to be so , but the front side of the sideskirt pinches up... and maybe you already know but you forgot to change the other sides side mirror coz the original mirror is still showing... but other than that it seems impeccable to me.. awesome work and good luck on the comp...

Ah yes, the infamous R32 that won 9 out of 11 races in its first year of Aussie Touring Cars...What a shame it was banned. Just cause Ford and Holden couldn't hide the shame of losing to a Japanese inline-6

Verrry nice chop btw.

What's with the grey dots on the bumper? Interior seems a little unclear. Looks good.

Yeah the mirror is noticable but everything else looks pretty freakin tight bro.
Freak makes a point on the interior but you got alot of reflection on the glass.
Dont forget to give us a looksee when you get it finished.

Thanx for the comments guys, the grey dots are suppose to be the bolts holding the kit on(they are alot clearer at full res) and yeah the side skirt is meant to curve under at the front DJ, its just the style they use.

I did alot of brushing to try and clear up the windows and added the livery.Here it is, I have not sent it in to the comp yet so C&C most welcome, thanx.
Car from current championship series;
Old school R31(inspiration for decals);
My R35, ready for the race season.

Awesome bit of work Gimp.
Only have a couple of gripes.
First and foremost is that the blue portions of the graphic looks way too purple.
The Recaro decal needs to be skewed more, similar to the Bridgestone.
You should have added a Motul decal, they are a huge sponsor for Nissan Racing.
And... the Skyline windshield decal looks odd to me too.
I think the letters are too uniform. The first few letters should be squeezed more with the "L" almost being where the "Y" is.
We're nit picking you a bit more than usual maybe but want to see you do wel lin the comp.

Thanx for the help guys, It usually takes someone else to point out the mistakes, I've been looking at it for too long. I played with the window decal and added a "psc" decal , I also adjusted the blue slightly and touched up a few little things.
Update; Added an action pic by request.
Action pic

I know its a GTR but the comp says Skyline and the old R31 was called ths skyline so I decided to stick with the Skyline decal, sorry

Touched up,

Looking good Gimp.
The track shot is tight, all but the flame.
Which, in seeing this shot, brought up another question.
No number on the car, except the small 35 on windshield.
Needs number frame on door doncha think?

The comp may say Skyline, but it isn't. In fact apart from the stovetops it bears next to no resemblance to previous GT-Rs anyway, and it purposely doesn't bear the Skyline name. Cool stuff though, just the S'Line decal doesn't reaaally belong there. Replace that with perhaps a Xanavi or Loctite decal and you'll be cookin'. Xanavi is the major sponsor of arguably the most kickass livery of the R34 JGTC race car, and in fact the new R35 GT500 Race Car as well, so that'd fit more.

Your right Davinci, it does need the number on the side. I added a new background too just for fun.I'll probably stick with the other one for the comp though. Thanx for being xtra piccy it helped.

And sorry but I'm sticken with the Skyline decal, so shoot me.
