Cool Leungy's Nissan Skyline GTR R34

Original

Chop

heres a chop i did in september which i spent nearly a whole month working on it.
i took awhile to upload for some odd reason it was over a 1 mb file so i had look for somewhere else to upload it other than photobucket so i choose Deviantart.
i somehow hit over 100 layers mainly cos i don't like flattening layers.
list of mods:
dark gold + yellow/orange pearlescent paint
Anime decal
various car part decals
Front bumper custom built by me
intercooler + pipes
carbonfibre thingy with mesh
mesh
moved GTR logo to the right (like they do with mustangs and stuff)
Green headlights
Carbon Fibre hood with small airvent
Advanti rims
Brakes painted blue + brembo logo added ( a bit small to see)
carbon fibre spoiler
window tint
Background change + By Leungy
ualcarimages/cars/VauxhallAstra2.jpg[/url]

Please tell me what you think
im also making a remake of it in a different angle here

nice chop leungy,
really liking the bronze/copper color.
a few things i noticed, the rims are flat like twink points out,the intercooler piping is way to small for a beast like that.
good job placing the graphics and vinyl, just a little much imo
the spoiler looks to sharp through the window, just lower the opacity
like i said man, good job on the color

looks good. but like was said, you cannot use parts from other people's chops. ive seen plenty of people banned from this site for doing that.

Man i dont know what it looked like with the "stolen" skirt but if it looked better you should have kept it, fcuk the people who has their hipocritic viewpoint of if its from a chop its stolen! If taking a part from a chop is stealing then taking parts from any other car is also stealing if you think of it, even plain original cars are someone's design, just like your chop is your design. Why can they steal from a profesional designer like the ones working for Mazda, or BMW etc. who by the way spends months on a design concept getting it just right but think its wrong to use an idea or a part from a chop which probably didnt even take more than a few hours to make.
For now i realize that we should be careful with taking from chops since many members feel its stealing, but i can guarentee you that its gonna change eventualy and people wont see it as stealing anymore. But anyone who ever wants to use any part from any of my chops are more than welcome to,even if they dont want me taking any ideas or parts from theirs, because everytime i see that it inspired someone else to use it in one of their ideas it will make me feel as good as it did when i 1st made it!

Oh and if you still have a pic of the car with the "stolen" parts on, post it here as well as i'd like to see it, even if you make it smaller...

Point is if your trying to pass the work off as your own, then your into copyright laws and all that. Best thing is if you want to use something from someones chop ask them, but you also have to say I did not make this part, otherwise people will assume you did make it until you get found out then we have all this all over again.
Personally I wouldnt use something if I knew it was a chop or part of one because I want my work to be my own and if I want to use something as inspiration I will either make my own or keep practising to be good enough to do it.
I think its a bit rude also to use part of someone elses chop TBH

Edit: Oh yes the chop, got carried away there, I like it its taking shape the colour works very well, but wheels are flat as pancakes!!

I agree it would be the proper thing to do to acknowledge the person or the chop you got the part from, but still dont see it as wrong to use a part if you realy like it. Chopping used to be just what it says, chopping parts from other cars wherever they might come from, and using many diferent parts to come up with a new concept. But understandably chopping has evolved onto a much higher level where people are'nt just chopping anymore they actualy doing some designing, which i suppose is where this issue comes from, but still just like we design some parts the other cars are made by designers to, so to say taking a part from a chopped image is stealing but taking a part from that guys design of either the car or a aftermarket kit he designed, is not stealing is a very, very clear contradiction. I know if it was made "legal" to use from a chop there would need to be some rules and guidelines, but everyone would benefit at the end as i think that some of the best parts ive seen out there was on chops. Oh and about the copyright part, all cars we use for donors are copyrighted on various levels by the manufacturers the designers work for, Which basicaly means to take any car thats got a trademark name, like Mazda and Subaru etc. and upgrade it without their concent is considered copyright fraud. Where as i strongly doubt that any chops have copyrights on them, as you dont have the permission to use the car in the 1st place you wont be able to get copyrights on your upgrade of it. So the only loophole you could use is to remove all emblems, badges or any trademark that links it to the manufacturer, and not even use the cars real name in the description, like some games do when they cant get permission to use that name. Oh and then copyrighting cost money and quite a bit coz you have 2 pay for each country you want it copyrighted in, like with a patent

can someone suggest what i should do with the rims??? replace them with different rims or try to redo the rims already there.
and about the copyright thingy i think you can put your work under CC (creative commons) which is sort of the same as copyrighting except ( i think) its free and it more based on more user made things other than big world wide released stuff.

Yes Leungy got that right Its a creative copyright - you cant get a picture some has taken off the net and tell people you have taken it, I see chopping as an art form I dont want someone to pass my work off as their own. Its ok to take inspiration from them. As for tuning companys that design kits such as AMG, they are selling these they want people to put them on their car so surely they aren't going to mind people giving them free advertising?? Its two different ball games I'm afraid, commercial vs creative.

I think your rims are at the wrong angle, it may be easier to start again with them, maybe a set of a similar angled car would work better.

Question Great

bump then lurk as soon as possible Let us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute and show appreciation to the person called mom though some may not say it openly to their mother. There's no substitute for her. Cherish every single moment. Though at times she may not be the best of friends, may not agree to our thoughts, she is still your mother!!! She will be there for you...to listen to your woes, your braggings, your frustrations, etc. Ask yourself...have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her “blues” of working in the kitchen, her tiredness? Be tactful, loving and still show her due respect though you may have a different view from hers. Once gone, only fond memories of the past and also regrets will be left. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart. Love her more than you love yourself. Life is meaningless without her ...Come and buy wow gold, Warhammer gold, wow gold, wow power leveling, Warhammer power leveling web .

I completely agree with you! Finally someone who talks sense!
Yeah sure the car designs have copyright on them. But where not passing of the original car design as our own are we?
I highly doubt bady kits and things like that have copyright because I've seen the same FB, side skirt, spoiler, rear bumper etc made by more than one company.
And just BTW we don't pass C+P parts off as our own either.
Stealing a part that is already on a chop is just being lazy!
That means you can chop the exact same car and just put all the parts on it from a chop you found.
I think the main problem is just when you try and pass off someone elses design as your own and also being too lzy to find your own damn donor!

BTW the chop is ok but the paint is too saturated and looks a little fake.
The wheels are WAY flat so yeah look for another donor.
The decals and vinyls are overdonee and makes the car look kinda rice.
The IC pipe is a little small.
The spoiler only has carbon on one side and it's too sharp through the window.
