Default Vista Premium?

Hey guys...I've had my computer since early February and i've had quite a few problems with Vista. Firstly im forever getting error messages and programs are no responding. Its getting to the point where i want to upgrade it but i feel i need a more reliable OS. Anyone else had this problem?

is your vista 32 or 64? it could be compatibility problems

im unsure about sata and sata2 but im guessing it will be like USB and USB2.0 so just data speed i could be wrong

and if you need a more reliable OS go back to XP for a while if you have the disk and wait untill windows 7 comes out or download the windows 7 beta version

i never had any problems with windows vista and im running Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1

hope some of that helped you

OK since were on the subject of Vista maybe you geeks or I mean guys can help me out.
I have the home edition on my computer and every so often, usually when im in the middle of something and havent saved in a few minutes, it will just automatically shut everything down to update. I have attempted to disable this f'n insane function but havent been successful. Any tips short of tracking down the software engineer responsible and castorating him !

Possibly by re installing home edition that might work as it could be a corrupt update file or something.
