For the most part new large cases will have standoff holes for the different sizes of the motherboards ie you can put a micro atx motherboard in a mid sized case its just kind of funny looking. If your looking for nice clean cases go with Antec or Coolermaster (silverstone if your rich lol). If your into the power ranger cases go with NZXT or Thermaltake (thermaltake cases are usually a tad more expensive). You can find some nice Antec cases on newegg for about 60 bucks. You can get this one for 50 dollars and its better than the Antec case

I have that model but with the side window because the store near me didn't carry the plain ones. Airflow is good since it has the front mesh and it comes with a 120mm fan and 80mm fan in the back and rear. You can also hide alot of the cables behind the drive cages like the front switch wires.
If you have any pictures or specs - preferably both we could tell you if the internal would fit a new case. I just recently built my dad a p4 system and he gave me is p2. The motherboard has some components on it that would need holes drilled out for in a new case and the power button goes directly to the power supply. Things like that would need some way of working around....
