Default The Street Spec Kustoms Website :)

Ok, here is my car club's website. I designed everything from scratch and also coded everything. It was a fricken PAIN IN THE ROYAL ***!!!!!!!

I did it all for free and it's still not quite finished. Please post comments, suggestions, whatever. I remind you that this is my 2nd website i've ever worked on. Since its for my club, i made it flashy, Checked out the other sites on here and kinda plain, but i understand why. Anywho, the background may take a while to load, i'm still workin on how to get that smaller but am not having luck, anyone have a suggestion for that? OK! here it is, AND PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK OUT THE CARS!!!!!! I think only one of the cars doesnt work, which is my truck, and i need to work on the other S-10 Page on there too, thats my cuz..........

But check it out:

its ok. There isnt much contrast or anything unique about the design. Your home link from other pages doesnt have the right url. Also the bg does take really long to load. overall for your second website its not bad.

Thanx. Do you happen to have any suggestions on how to get the background to load faster? I'm outta ideas.

BTW, its kind of a temporary site for now. The guys in the club would like to start up a Customs Shop. So it will look a lil more professional once the shop is in order. Oh, i'll fix the home links, thanks for telling me that b/c i forgot all about it. lol

well its a jpg so that has a bit to do with it (very little), if you where to redo the sites coding into full CSS you could get about a 50% faster download time.

CSS is a way of formatting text and things on a webpage.

the stylesheet is an external file, so you can edit just a small piece on the CSS file, and it will change everyplace on the actual webpage. It has faster loading too!

CSS also seperates the design from code for example most people use tables to design the layout and how it looks but with css you can align everything how you want in divs. Its quite easy actaully.

Theres no such thing as a good web editing program. Use HTML-Kit instead of notepad (assuming thats what you use). Also CSS is not a program just an extension to HTML.

see here are some awesome CSS websites
http://www.cssbeauty.com/
http://cssvault.com/

and of course www.csszengarden.com
