You know, I'd love to, but my Acads screwing up.

What I usually do is get a nice donor pic of the wheel from a very straight-on shot and use that. I saved every front angle rim closeup on c&m before they started chargin money just for that.

so if you have a pic, you can usually guestimate the measurements. I know I do. most measurements on a wheel are very irrelevent, meaning they can be changed with no real effect. and since most of them use curves in some form, its pretty hard to measure.

What I do is break the wheel up until I see one shape that repeates itself (one spoke). This could be obvious or pretty hard (i.e. bbs wheels). I start drawing the spoke vertically and make guesses on how wide it might be at certain spots.

That's really all there is to it. If the vertical spoke goes like this /\, then I guess a measurement for the width of the spoke at the bottom and at the top.

Of course its a little harder that that with all the details, but if you stick with it, you'll see yourself crank these things out.

One command you might want to learn in AutoCAD would have to be Polar Array if you plan on making any kind of wheel with more than one spoke. All you do with it is select the spoke (object to be copied) and the center of the wheel, then the number of spokes and you're done. It copies the spokes in a circular direction for x number of times. simple

After you have it copied you just need to tie the spokes together in some way or another (where they connect at center). Just look at your pic and mimic it.

Here are a couple of mine if you're wondering where you should be headed with this.
