It took some getting used to, but I think it's a really good game, graphics are really good too. I think EA have gone more for realism than anything else, but it's a shame they didn't include drag races like in ProStreet... but I love my Works Corvette Z06

I think after NFS carbon the NFS range went ****. all the old NFS were street racing including stuff like hot pursuit and stuff and thats how its made it names and for it to go to track is like jesus becoming a muslim. it shouldnt happen lolz

You got a point there black... tbh I freaking hate prostreet... The point that NFS is going for the more realistic approach sucks imo... If I wanted a realistic driving experience game I would go Gran Turismo Which in my opinion real sucks as$ big time... On that game I cant go flat out around a bend thats why Ima nfs guys ok mostly because of the street tuning thing but it pushed the boundries of real to surreal and if nfs is going on the way that is... oopss... btw my favourite nfs titles are... Underground 2, Most Wanted , Carbon and Undercover(not so much).... They should have us choppers as a design team... The bodykits would look way better

I really liked Most Wanted, Carbon, and Undercover (even though it was short). Gotta say I hate Pro Street, I bought it, and it sits on my desk, I don't play it, it is worse than Gran Turismo.

I agree lolz. EA COME GET US TO WORK FOR YA!!!!!! lolz but for me i stopped playing them when they realised pro street. NFS are all about getting chased by the cops and powersliding round a corner and dodgin the traffic lolz IMO they should realised a game with the customising of NFS games and the free roam of Test Drive Unlimited. to me that wouldbe the ultimate game ( i like driving around doing **** all lol )

Some silly fool added an 'f' to the title of the game.

I despise EA. They're so up their own arses.

It went track way, WAY before it put in free roam and street racing. There was a good 5 or 6 games before Underground came out, and all of them were on fictional circuit tracks with supercars that you would never find in real life, like the Isdera Commendatore 112i in NFSII which I am sure nobody here has EVER seen in the metal. No street racing to be seen. I still herald NFSII Special Edition as one of the best NFS' of all time.

That's probably the reason why I absolutely LOVE ProStreet. I'm a sim freak, and Gran Turismo is THE best in the business, but ProStreet wasn't half as bad as the press or you guys made it out to be. And the reason why you can't go flat out through a corner is because no one would actually attempt that in real life without getting a reality check and understeering straight into a barrier. You wouldn't attempt it in real life, and that's why you don't do it in a game, unless its like slot cars. Even in the Undergrounds and Most Wanted you had to use the brakes. Hence why there IS a brake button.

Murcie ya say that but just look At Hot pursuit and stuff like that there was about 4 games before UG that was street racing, even the arcade ones were street racing, and i think what twinks was saying was That if ya hit a wall nothing really bad happened like ya had to buy a new car or **** like that, it was more about the racing and tuning rasther than simie's which are about statistics and staying on the track other wise you might not heat ya tyre up right and basically bollocks like that

underground 2 was definitely the pinnacle of the need for speed games. What more could you ask for, free roam, modifying your car and just all round awesomeness. i agree what was said about the choppers being employed for development, would be an ace touch that =p
still loving shift though, on track which is a shitter but the gameplay is ace imo
ill post some pictures up soon

I have to agree that I love the whole illegal street racing thing that the NFS games had. I adore both the Undergrounds and Most Wanted, and I love Carbon purely for the fact that you can have a classic muscle car and stick a blower out the bonnet I didn't actually like ProStreet that much, found it quite repetative, just liked the drag racing lol And thought Undercover wasn't as good as it should have been. But Shift seems to be an updated more realistic side of ProStreet, and I like it. I know some of you think that EA have ruined what NFS was about, but Shift requires a bit more skill than just going full pelt round a corner and knowing that you'll bounce off a wall and keep going like nothing happened.

Carbon was garbage. Exactly the same as Most Wanted except with more customisation, night time, and about 5x less replay value. Completed it twice in one day, stuck it in the DVD cabinet. And Undercover was destined to be a pile of steaming faeces.
