You should def. continue. Although, I STRONGLY recommend NOT to add a kit...just wouldn't look right. And I think you should make it two-tone color.

i dare you to try and put a kit on it and make it look rite....hahaha

its goin to be hard to make that car look cool, it would be a challenge to put a kit on it, its a hard car to do anything to cuz of the shape and stuff, you can mainly jsut shave, colour change and change the rims thats pretty much it without airbrushing the whole thing, which is shiat hard and takes forever

Nice work so far, and go on with this chop!

Some suggestions: (feel free to pick and match the ones that suits you. It would look ridiculous with ALL the mods here, but here's some of the most popular ones I can think of right now)
Shaved bumpers and mirrors.
Suicide-type doors (the door hinges towards the rear, or no hinges at all)
"Shave" the metal bar that splits the doors windows. 1-piece window instead
Like mhendricks said: 2 tones!
A stinger exhaust (the one that looks like a trumpet)
Shaved tail-light, you could embed custom tail-lights into the fender
A chopped top maybe?
For the rims, puh-lease don't pick rice/pimp 22 inchers! Go with something more "dubbesque", Cragar, Empi, etc...
Aluminum or body colored running boards.
Air-inlets near the rear windows, just like older Bugs
A rag-top
