and where can i find tutorials? or if there is any1 on here that would like to take me under their wing and show me the basics! im a pretty quik learner and would be greatly thankfull

Try searching for:

Cinema 4D, 3DS Studio Max, Maya and Blender .. most of those aren't free though so have a go at it while you have a trial..

I think there's a trial for Rhino also? I recently found out Maxwell Render has a plug-in for Rhino which would make the rendering look night to day better. I don't think there's a trial for it though.

As for learning well, I say it's my drawing background. Things you have to do by hand I can now replicate in PS with a precision and it goes faster too. I've been pretty self taught so I don't know about tuts.

CGTalk.com is the place to start. Lots of tutorials.....discussions on materials, modeling, animating, rigging, etc, etc. IMO classes are very helpful. I've been working with photoshop since version 1 and 3D since 99. I transfered from graphic design to a 2 year animation school and it was by far the best school experience I've ever had.

For me was better to go step by step from just opening the program to creating an object, then texture, lighting, animating, and then render. Much less frustrating than trying to figure it out on my own.

So if you are interested in this field check out some schools. They even have an online school. http://www.animationmentor.com/ The instructors are guys from all over the country who are in the industry. They have guys from ILM, Pixar, Dreamworks, Blue Sky, Sony Pictures, PDI, Disney, and so on.

The only one I know anything about is Maya.

it's $1300-$7000 depending on which you buy.
