Redesign Psc - Post Your Ideas
Hi all,
I am looking to completely redesign this website, www.photoshopchop.com !!
I've been scouting different ideas for 4 months now an have not settled on what I think would be a good design/style/color scheme for PSC.
I do want to the make the site more clean, simple, attractive, organized... implement web2.0 theory... bold, rich, simple. Since I have not had anything stand out yet, I wanted to ask YOU, what your ideas are.
Please give PSC ideas as to what you would like?
We won't be necessarily using a template, probably custom work, but feel free to find a template or existing site that you think is cool and share it with us.
http://www.4templates.com/
http://www.templateworld.com/
http://www.templatemonster.com/
http://www.thebestdesigns.com/
http://www.coolhomepages.com
What are some automotive/entertainment/news sites that you really enjoy?
Feel free to do some mockups that might help spur ideas.
Example mockup by Suzq044
http://www.photoshopchop.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=23052
I have a team ready to produce the work, I just need ideas and would like examples and thoughts on what YOU might like.
IDEAS, LETS SEE THEM

I'm probably gonna do a 'clean' version with the same layout/graphics, etc. later -- but whatcha think?
http://www.photoshopchop.com/ is what it looks like now.

Version 1: [Grungy]
Version 2: [Clean-Cut]

lol - CF is a little played out - but I will see what I can do. at least in one or two parts, not all over :P
Ace - what do you mean, neons? As far as layout goes, it would be really distracting and annoying. The point of the layout is to get information across, but make it look appealing too. Maybe you should do a quick little layout too
I'll be uploading an update of the 2nd one in about 2 hours.. I have other stuff I'm doing at the moment. I'll delete, or thumbnail the images as I update.
edit - updated.. see above post

i have a huge hard on for carbon. and vw. so a carbon vw theme would be perfect. just kidding. i suck with this aspect of design, but id certainly be willing to give my inputs. suz i like the overall designs of yours, but they seem way too busy. though having that sick *** MKIV on there definitely makes me happy.

hehe - just pulling from the images at PASmag. I believe it is a background, if you're interested
As far as it being busy - well it has [except the post-ranks] all the information on the current page. Just re-arranged.

.. no. Post ranks just gives people a reason to post stupid things.
Martin - they're not coded, but it wouldn't be difficult to do .

I like Suz's design. This forum needs that edgy look that's attract a lot of attention/sponsors instead of the old plain look.

I agree that PSC needs to move away from the plain and simple look. I quite like suzq's designs.
I'll probably have a go and post something up soon.
