Default Group shot project

Hello guys,

I have been contacted by Lowisalifestyle with what could be an interesting little project.

He has suggested that as we are all working together on chopping one car in pass the chop, that we try something a little different at the same time... a group chop.

This will mean that we all work on one image as usual, however the image will have a number of cars in it. We each choose a car to mod and then we combine all of the finished items together and it will give us a collective shot of our work.
A pretty cool idea i think!

Here is the image that we will be working on (obviously each car is relatively small so scope for mods may be limited at this stage):

I think before we start we all need to claim which car we will be working on from the list below (first come first serve...call which car you want and ill cross it off the list for you):

Nissan GTR
Porsche 911
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG - ChrisssAhhh
Mclaren MP4-12C - RocketBunny
Chevrolet Camaro - RoadKill
Toyota GT86
Jaguar XKR
Lamborghini Aventador
Ford Mustang

There are only 9 so get in quick!

As you will see, i've called the Mclaren and it's shown above in Red with my name against it.

To give everyone time to call a car and work on it, i think we should set a deadline...Is everyone ok with one week from now? Thursday 11th December (finished chops submitted to me as usual by this date)

It probably goes without saying, but just a few quick rules:
  • Only work on the car you have called
  • no BG changes (as i will combine all of our chops together in the end on this existing BG)

Hopefully you will be up for this as it would be good to see all of our work individually although on one image!

Little question..do we use that image of the car? (coz it's kinda small to do some nice mods)

Yes unfortunately RK!
Just do what you can to that image and we will see what happens.

Ideally i wanted to use a huge image so that each car is still high res when zoomed in but i just couldn't find one online!

Do your best with the above and hopefully next time i can use a better image (sorry my bad)!

Sorry guys, have to pass on this one!
But it's a great idea, only thing is that this pic is a little small to perform some good mods on the cars in back for example.

Thanks RK, saves me a job!

@ChrisssAhhh - the C63 looks great - to be honest there isn't a lot that you can do with such a small image...you've down well to make it look good on this scale.

Depends on what you want done; you can either select the car and start a new layer copy-paste style; or select the parts you want to change, using hue/sat. Or you can blend your own colors using the drop-down next to your opacity adjustment. As with most things, there is many ways to get something done in photoshop

SuzQ is right Chris, there are different ways to get the job done...one isn't necessarily better than the others, its down to your style / what you are trying to achieve.
Check out a few tutorials and give them a go until you find a method that suits you best.
