How Do I Put An Image Behind Another

i got a pic of an exaust but when i try to put it on my car its ontop of the bodywork wheres as i want it behind it, so can someone tell me how to be able to put the exaust behind the pic.

well one way is to just delete everything on the exhaust but the part that comes out.. so it looks like its coming out from behind.. same idea goes for duplicating the car, putting the exhaust in between the two copies, and deleting where the exhaust should stick out on the top copy

cant you just put the exhaust layer behind the background layer?

to do that , you look at the layers palette and click and hold the exhaust layer, then you just drag it underneath the background

you cant.. nothing goes under the background.. just do one of my options.. very easy
