Windows 7 Help For Twinkles... Please

Hey guys I know Iv been gone for awhile... Well im back and I surely wanna get back to chopping... Got my laptop 3 or so weeks ago... Works pretty well havent chopped on it yet but plan on doing so soon... Iv got a problem though I hope you guys can help.... Theres a internet connection in the house but im not allowed to take it and put it in my room ... So I guess Iv gotta do it wirelessly which Im having problems with... My laptop finds the router and asked the wpa key and entered it so I thought hey im connected... but im not... duno wht im missing here guys help will surely be appreciated ... It says network connect but no internet access... this windows 7 is f***ing with me

It could be a few things. For a quick fix, you should be able to disable your network and then enable it.

1. Is you anti-virus program compatible?
2. Do you have a process called 'Bonjour' running? If you do, disable it or update it.

Thanx for the reply dude but im still not having any luck... The anti-virus I got came pre-loaded on the system so I guess its compatible and no bonjour running...

What service pack of Win 7 are you running?

I did the "winver" thing but it doesnt show what service pack im running... but from the "dxdiag" thing by the operating system line is says Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600).. Hope that helps...
