That is correct. And depending on year, it was either a single or double din head unit. Another difference is that monsoons also came with a 6 disc CD changer in the back. The only 1.8ts that came with monsoon standard and not as an option was the 20AE and the 337. It was available as an option on all models. climatronic, on the other hand, was only for us big boys with the VR6.

ok so, small update for you guys. i know most of you wont get the vinyl thing but mike will...its a VW thing, anyway one to pictures
i had a sludge problem so i started to tear the car down a rebuild with new parts
built a custom catch can to fix the broke PCV lines
color matched the bumper markers
shaved the engine cover and painted it white and stickered it
started to sticker out the rear window
did my mirrors too
lowered it more in the back
put in the new style gauges
got a new euro plate
got me a nifty little gopro
i also put on clear fender markers, painted the lower engine cover and the battery cover white, and im going to start rewrapping the interior this weekend
i think thats it?

dropped in 4 new spark plugs bkr7e's and put some LED strips in the trunk so i can see at night. because VW had the bright idea of using one little POS light in a corner...so i upgraded the lighting situation with 2 white LED strips. $20 for the LEDs at autozone and $9.40 for the plugs and a plug wrench at advance auto...not a bad deal i say
old 6e's on the right and new 7e's on the left
and the non ricey tucked away LED strips wired into the stock light so they pop on when the trunk opens

i also finished up some more of the engine covers, and tore out and redesigned the stock PCV system, now unnecessary parts have been removed and capped off and a more simple custom catch can i made was installed. as well as some polished trunk struts

Nice car, go easy on the stickers.. like art, deciding when enough is enough is the difference between a masterpiece and a "nice drawing"

cuz on the other site im on rules state no plates can be showing, i dont post there any more so i dont care. and the stickers are a VW thing, its hard to explain. i like it so really doesnt matter much to me what other people think although i do appreciate other peoples opinions. and the not low yet plate is sort of an inside joke in the VW scene mike will get it. my car is super slammed to most normal ppl but in the VW world its still a monster truck and i wanna go way lower

that involves me getting a new DP and they just passed a law saying no altered exhausts or anything other than stock. so the cat quiets it down
