Default Best version of Photoshop to use?

hi there

im new to this but can you please tell me which photoshop version is the best one to use for car moding?????/

Hey Mat,
If you can swing it I would recommend getting CS3 which is the latest version, however any version will work. I wouldnt go back any farther than version 7 though, since most tutorials now are based on 7 and newer.

but if you dont have photoshop... get gimp.. its better than photoshop and you dont have to pay a cent...

haha i used 7 at school and i have 5 at home!!! lol

but 5 was free. my uncle burned me the program.

hopefully my school gives me something on my laptop since it has inventor, solidworks, autocad and all sorts of other ****. lol

fully agree with psdavinci,
def have to have 7 or newer, i also used to have 5..like 98 i think lol
but 5 is lacking free transform tools,liquify tool (awesome for smoothing out wheel wells etc...just turn down the brush density and brush pressure below 20) some tools also.
cs3 is the bomb and most people at my work prefer cs2( apparently does not lag as much,but i havent seen it)
just get it legally so you can register it,you can benefit from lots of offers from adobe.
bet you could find 7 or 8 for a pretty cheap price online

pfft, I didn't pay a cent for my cs3 extended, and I got it a week after it came out
