Changing Colors

I am wondering how is the best way to change a color of a vehicle?

Can anyone help?

I usually use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to select the car body. Then select the 'Subtract from selection' option to deselect healights, marker lights, tail lights, etc. so those don't get changed. Then go to Image, then Adjust, and Hue/Saturation. Play with that until you get the desired color. Then you can use the Image, Adjust, Brightness/Contrast as needed.

Thanks man ... I had been adding a layer over top of the original image and then inversing the larger image. Worked well for patterns, I can't believe I was that retarded ... Thanks for the heads up!

I guess that I could have tried this if I had a copy of Photoshop ... still too much for me and trying rip that from Kazaa ... takes for ever on dialup.

Yeah, it took me about 10 hours to downloa....err...buy my copy of Photoshop.
